Cindi Pratiwi, a high school YES exchange student from Indonesia, participated in a week-long Youth Summit on Solutions to Hunger and Poverty in the U.S., which was sponsored by the Atlanta Community Food Bank. On one day of the summit, participants met with Georgia's Governor Nathan Deal at the Georgia Capitol. Cindi is directly behind the Gov. Deal's right shoulder in the picture. Cindi's Host Dad, Georgia Representative Tom Taylor (far left) was proud to help host Cindi and the rest of the Youth Summit group at the GA Capitol. Cindi's Host Mom Wendi Taylor (not pictured) is the Founder of the Global Youth Food Project. She is looking forward to having the GYFP share and implement sustainable, local, food sourcing and distributing solutions that make nutritious food available to Indonesians in need.
